John Dawson
I came into YWAM in 1971; at that time I had been a student teacher in New Zealand. I served in various countries before moving to the United States in 1975 to establish a more permanent expression of YWAM in Los Angeles, eventually becoming the director of our international urban missions network. During these years I married Julie, an American, and we raised three sons, David, Paul and Matt who now serve in three countries. A late life baby was born to us in 1996, a little girl named Rachel Grace.

It was not too long ago that I found myself chosen by my peers to be our next president. On that very day in Nanning, China I clearly heard the Holy Spirit speak and I recorded it in my diary. "Healing grace, prophetic hope and the ministry of encouragement." That's my assignment. That's how I hope to serve you.

Winkie Pratney
Logging some 150,000+ miles a year and often speaking with over half-a-million young people annually, Winkie has wide experience in youth work. His technical background in both science and the popular music culture has given him a unique insight to the particular needs of a media-dominated technological society, and his constant monitoring of youth trends combined with feedback from young people themselves has helped him interpret these for those with a vital interest in the welfare of the young.

He conducts yearly leadership training for youth workers in Europe, North America and the Pacific, and has been involved as an advisor and consultant to church, civic, educational, government and social welfare leaders on the needs and problems of modern teenagers. He occasionally speaks in churches, but his primary call is to students. Winkie is a New Zealander and maintains a low organizational profile. He is sometimes known to reply to mail, (especially from teenagers) but his frequent travels discourage lengthy correspondence and he leaves personal counselling to pastors and churches. He with his gracious wife Faeona and son William live sometimes in New Zealand and visit often Australia, Canada, Europe and the USA.

Rick Joyner
Rick Joyner converted to Christianity in the early 1970s, and his ministry began following a period of spiritual renewal in his life, during which he wrote a number of books based on his assertion of a three-day prophetic revelation and vision of the state of the church and impending end-times events.

Rick Joyner leads MorningStar Ministries (also known as Morningstar Publications and Ministries), which he co-founded with his wife Julie Joyner in 1985. He is also the founder, executive director, and senior pastor of MorningStar Fellowship Church based in Fort Mill, South Carolina and oversees MorningStar’s School of Ministry, Fellowship of Ministries, and Fellowship of Churches. He edits The MorningStar Journal and The MorningStar Prophetic Bulletin. He has five children: Anna, Aaryn, Amber, Ben, and Sam.
